Hi, I'm David an independent advisor and user just like you. I'll do my best to help you with this. Is that a Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000? I think that matches that model number - it's quite an older camera so might not be supported in Windows 10. If I have the model correct the Microsoft Update Catalog does list drivers for it going up to Windows 8.1 which MIGHT work on Hello, My HP Envy x360 has a built in camera shutter that is connected to an on/off key on the keyboard. The problem is that my shutter is stuck in the ON position and won't go down despite me clicking the key and promoting its removal. The Laptop diagnostics and troubleshooting thinks the camera is fully operational and doesn't flag any issues.
i first noticed the issue when attempting to use skype which could not find the webcam. the webcam was not recognized in hp quickplay either. i then checked the device manager and the driver was not listed. i then went to control panel > hardware and sound> scanners and cameras> add device, and found the webcam listed and attempted to install
Unfortunately one of the last suggestions was to uninstall the webcam in Device Manager, then use Driver Updates to re install it. That did not re install the webcam , it just changed the status from 'not connected' to 'uninstalled'. System restore did not work either because it did not offer a restore date prior to 23 April.
my laptop is not connecting to my camera I was using it for Zoom a couple of weeks ago now its telling me that it cant find my camera I reset my computer looked for the camera in the control panel. To no avail I also check in the security settings that did not work either I restart tried uninstalling the Microsoft Camera but its a preinstall
Resetting windows completely. Uninstalling, reinstalling, upgrading all camera drivers directly from HP. This appears to be a result of the repair of the laptop conducted by HP, in which they replaced the screen and fixed a faulty hinge. This repair was undertaken under warranty, but now the laptop is not under warranty anymore. Open YouCam, then click the settings icon. In the settings menu, click the webcam icon. From the Capture Device drop-down menu, select your webcam or USB video device. note: If no webcam device is listed, go to Verifying the webcam hardware in Device Manager. Figure : Settings menu. a.) Right-click an empty area of the Sound window. b.) Click Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices. c.) If the device you want to use contains a small circle with an arrow pointing down, the device is disabled. To enable the device, right-click the device name, and then select Enable. 3.) KXPF.
